Sri Lanka SCP Multi-stakeholder Consultation

    The Sri Lanka SCP Multi-stakeholder Consultation was taken place on 13 February 2019 at the Ramada Colombo Hotel. The Consultation discussed the outcomes, recommendations, Challenges and opportunities of SCP initiatives in Sri Lanka and will identify the need of future facilitation. In this event, the priority SCP themes which need the immediate attention were reviewed by the expertise in the IAEWG (SCP Forum) and the Ministry of Mahaweli Development and Environment.


    The SWITCH Asia SCP facility Mission; Mr Arab Hoballah, ,Team Leader and Ms. Puja Sawhney, South Asia Expert, SWITCH-Asia facilitated the consultation in collaboration with the European Union Delegation to Sri Lanka and Maldives.


    The SWITCH-Asia SCP Facility is one of the components of the SWITCH-Asia programme funded by the EU and is implemented by the GIZ, the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) and Adelphi. This facility aims to strengthen the implementation of national policies for SCP.
